Login Problems

 
 

Having problems logging into the site, or staying logged in can any of multiple isssues.

First, check to make sure that your date, time, and time zone settings are correct. If these are not correctly setup on your computer, this will limit your ability to log in and stay logged into this site. This can be done in Windows by double clicking on the time in the bottom right corner of your screen.

Second, you need to verify that you have cookies properly enabled in your browser. If you do not have cookies enabled, you will not be able to log into this site, or many others on the internet. Instructions to enable cookies is below for each browser.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x

  • Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
  • Click on the "Privacy" tab.
  • Set it to Medium
  • Click "Apply".
  • Click "OK".

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x

  • Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
  • Click on the "Security" tab.
  • Click "Custom Level" button.
  • Scroll down to the "Cookies" section.
  • To enable:
    • Set "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" to "Enable".
    • Set "Allow per-session cookies" to "Enable".
  • Click "OK".

Mozilla Firefox

  • Select "Options" from the Tools menu.
  • Click on the "Privacy" tab/icon on the left.
  • Click on the "Cookies" option in the middle.
  • To enable:
    • Check "Allow sites to set cookies.
    • Under "Keep Cookies" select "until they expire"
  • Click "OK".

Finally, it may be neccessary for you to properly setup your browsers cache settings. Browsers will store copies of internet websites locally on your computer, this may cause problems if your settings are not correct. To enable proper caching, following the instructions below for the browser you are using.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

  • Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
  • You should already be on the "General" tab.
  • Under "Temporary Internet files" select "Settings..."
  • To setup proper caching:
    • Under "Check for newer versions of stored pages:" select "Automatically".
    • Set your "Amount of disk space to use:" to an acceptable value, ex: 100 (MB).
  • Click "OK".
  • Click "OK".

If you are still having problems staying logged in, please try changing your password. BuddyPic.com only allows you to be logged in from one location at a time. Randomly being logged out of your account could be a result of someone else logging into your account. We recommend changing your BuddyPic.com password, as well as the password on the e-mail account you used to sign up on a regular basis.
